# Connect the DataGlove （Character Management）

## 1. Add Characters (2.1.7. and before)

### **Function Description**

Add characters through this function.

After opening the software, insert the glove receiver.

Click the "Add Character" button to bring up the new character window.

Character names can be up to 13 characters and are required.

Select the devices on the left and right hands of the character to bind, not mandatory.

* Click the drop-down menu to display a list of glove devices that have been inserted into the receiver.
* The device list displays the device status, with green indicating that the glove device is connected and gray indicating that the glove device is not connected.
* Click "Apply" button to complete the new character page, and click "Cancel" to cancel the operation.

The information related to the characters that have been successfully created will be saved. When the software is reopened, all created characters and bound glove devices will be automatically displayed.

## 2. Add Characters (2.1.8.)

Depending on the type of receiver inserted, select either a one-to-one receiver or a one-to-two receiver. This selection is required.

* **1-to-2 Receiver**: From the drop-down menu, select the corresponding receiver. Green icon indicates that gloves are connected, while a gray icon means the gloves are not connected.
* **1-to-1 Receiver**: The operation is the same as in version 2.1.7 and before.
* Click "Apply" button to complete the new character page, and click "Cancel" to cancel the operation.

## 3. Character List

### **Function Description**

Display characters and their corresponding devices in the character management list to manage character-related information.

The character list is displayed in the order of character creation.

## 4. Show/Hide Character

### **Function Dscription**

This function controls the showing and hiding of characters.

Characters can be toggled between "Show" and "Hide" by using the button "Show/Hide".

The model display page on the right side will be arranged and displayed according to the current "showed" characters, in the order of the character list.

The model display page supports the display of up to 8 characters, with a four-screen layout and support for up and down sliding.

Click the "Calibrate All" button to calibrate all "showed" characters simultaneously.

Click the "Record" button to record the actions of all "showed" characters at the same time (the show/hide cannot be switched during the recording process).

For the "Data Transmission" function in the settings, all "showed" characters are simultaneously streaming data (the data streaming process can switch between show/hide).

## 5. Character Setting

### **Function Description**

Set and modify character information.Click the "Character" button to pop up the window of settings of Character.
